“You’ll need an extra suitcase for it!” Jane McDonald’s comfort she always packs for cruises

“On river cruises you can see the coast, which helps with the nerves, and you’re right in the city when you dock.”

One of her favorite cruises is the ocean-going Silversea, a luxury cruise ship that sails across Africa, the Indian Ocean, East Asia, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

“It was the golden ticket when I was a singer, you know, because you have your own suite and a free bar,” she explained.

“I never got to sing at Silverseas; so there’s something special about the fact that I can afford to do it now.”
