Would you like to book a winter holiday in the sun? Car rental experts at StressFreeCarRental.com have found the best places in the world to watch the sunset this winter.
While the world’s best sunsets are in Orlando, Florida, two of the best winter sunsets are a little closer to home.
The Canary Islands are a leading winter tourism destination in the UK and the islands enjoy a warm climate all year round.
The green lagoon at El Golfo in Lanzarote is a spectacular sight and one of the main tourist attractions of the island.
Located in the remains of a volcanic cone, the green color of the lagoon is created by a type of phytoplankton.
NOT MISSING
The spokesperson said: “It’s a little-known fact that the relatively small sun-kissed Canary Islands are home to four national parks, with soulful Tenerife leading the way thanks to its 43 designated nature reserves.
“Go to Teide National Park and watch the incredible sunset with a cup of champagne in hand from 2000 meters above sea level atop Mount Teide.”
While it takes about five to six hours to hike from the bottom to the top, tourists can also take a cable car to La Rambleta and then hike for just under an hour.
Tourists are rewarded with a fantastic view of the island, which looks even more beautiful at sunset.
The spokesperson added: “’Wherever you go this winter, make sure to allow some time in your busy schedule to enjoy the sunset.
“So often vacationers go back to their hotels to get ready for dinner because they’re part of a tour group or just don’t realize what they’re missing.
“Each sunset is unique and offers its own mix of pink, orange and purple, and the seven we selected were chosen not only for their beauty, but also for the vantage point from which you can view them.”
India’s Taj Mahal and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa were also selected as some of the best places to watch the sunset.
