The most affected areas are the southeast of Mallorca and the access roads to some popular beaches around the island.
The resort towns of Cala Santanyí, Cala Figuera, Campos and Portocolom were some of the areas that saw more than 100 liters of rain per square meter and other parts of Mallorca also had power outages this weekend.
The mayor of Santanyi, Maria Pons, commented: “We are trying to restore normalcy as soon as possible with the municipal cleaning company and with people who help us.
“We are also in contact with the electricity companies to see if they can restore supply as soon as possible.”
