The union said: “The flight crew members get the support of the passengers, they understand their motives, even if it is annoying to have their flight cancelled.
“They have the solution in their hands, which is to sit down and negotiate.”
Barcelona El Prat airport has been the hardest hit by the union action so far and has seen the most delays and cancellations.
Despite the crew on strike, some flights are likely to continue due to a Spanish ruling protecting the right to travel.
