Cabin crews work long hours, with most of the work done on their feet looking after passengers, so it’s no surprise that a small token of gratitude can go a long way. But besides brightening up the flight attendantsAccording to some frequent flyers, passengers can also enjoy some extra benefits on their journey.
According to Ms. Kalami, the key to “special treatment” is buying a £5 Starbucks gift card for your cabin crew.
She added: “It means the world to us when customers give us this.”
Reddit user Individualchaotin explained that this is something they have a lot of experience with.
The user said: “I fly a lot and I try to take something with me.
“When you sit first class, you get extra pillows, blankets, a mattress, slippers and pyjamas, your glass is always full and they keep your favorite snack for you.
“If you’re in the economy, you might get a top-notch meal, free snacks that are usually bought, free alcoholic drinks, and so on. It’s totally worth it.”
However, the user added that expressing thanks to the cabin crew shouldn’t just be about getting yourself some free perks.
They explained: “Interns are essential workers who have worked through the entire pandemic – or been on leave – and have barely received any recognition.
“Since the start of the pandemic, violence against them has increased dramatically. We should always thank our flight attendants.
“They are away from their families, lonely in hotels, working on vacation so we can be with our families.”
