Known as the mini Niagra Falls of the Philippines is the True Falls. It is a multi-level waterfall that has been featured in many shows and magazines. Accessibility: It’s quite close to Bislig so you can try haggling with motorcycle taxis to take you to the Enchanted River. If not, still ride a motorcycle taxi from Hinatuan town. You can also choose to walk half a kilometer
With clear deep blue water that feels like glowing, Hinatuan Enchanted River feels like something out of a movie set. It is a deep source river 0.27 kilometers long. You cannot swim in the main pool as it has been preserved. However, there is a swimming area nearby where you can take a dip. You can also feed the fish in the afternoon. It’s quite memorable!
Accessibility: Take a bus to Tandag, but make sure you stop at Cortes. You drive with a habal-habal (MC-taxi) to Laswitan.
A unique place in Surigao del Sur is the Laswitan Lagoon in the town of Cortes. There are beautiful rock formations that make the site look beautiful. When the waves are strong, the water will splash and somehow create a waterfall effect. It is a great place to visit from November to January as the waves are stronger.
