Cruise guests criticized for ‘rude’ and ‘tacky’ buffet behaviour

One passenger added: “Not only is it frowned upon, but it’s illegal, so don’t take your chances.

“The law is in effect for almost all countries in the world because food from abroad can have an invasive impact on the environment of the destination country and people should not take any risks.”

Guests can probably bring packaged snacks, so items purchased at the ship’s stores should be fine.

Aside from the law, one guest said they thought eating the buffet was “one of the rudest things you can do”.
