One of the reasons cruise holidays are so popular because passengers on board don’t have to worry much about it. However, some guests say they find the last day stressful.
On the last day of a cruise, passengers must disembark along with thousands of other guests.
A regular guest shared a photo of luggage tags on Reddit, saying it was the “worst part” of any cruise.
One passenger added: “On the last day of the cruise, you can tag your large luggage, put it in front of the door, and when you get off the ship the next day, it will be waiting for you in the terminal.
“Some people choose to disembark themselves and keep all their luggage with them, but it’s a huge pain in the ass especially with crowded elevators unless you pack very light.

“I’ve always had the crew or porters take my bulky items down the luggage lifts and I’ve never lost anything.
“That said, it’s usually just a suitcase full of dirty clothes and some toiletries, so if someone really wants to steal that, more power to them.”
On the last day, the boat lifts are usually very busy and people sometimes have to wait a while to board.
Stairs on cruise ships can be difficult to tackle if passengers decide to keep their main luggage with them.
NOT MISSING
Another guest commented: “I always try to have as much fun as possible on my last night of the cruise, just because I know it’s the end.
“In the end, I always close the last bar open. I’m sure the crew hates me.”
On the last morning, some restaurants do not open for breakfast and passengers will normally have to go to the buffet.
On mega cruise ships, passengers are usually assigned a disembarkation time to try and make the process go smoothly.
